Accessibility Statement
Last updated: August 31, 2026
Tornado Tutoring is committed to making its website and educational services accessible to students, families, and visitors with disabilities.
Accessibility is an ongoing effort. We strive to design and maintain our website and educational materials so people with a wide range of abilities, technologies, and access needs can use them effectively.
What web accessibility is
An accessible site allows visitors with disabilities to browse the site with the same or a similar level of ease and enjoyment as other visitors. This can be achieved with the capabilities of the system on which the site is operating, and through assistive technologies.
Our accessibility goals
Where reasonably possible, Tornado Tutoring works to:
-
Provide clear, readable text and page layouts
-
Maintain sufficient contrast between text and backgrounds
-
Use meaningful headings and page structure
-
Provide alternative text or descriptions for meaningful images
-
Make website functions usable with common assistive technologies
-
Avoid relying solely on color to communicate important information
-
Provide accessible alternatives to educational materials when needed and reasonably possible
We aim to follow generally accepted accessibility practices, including relevant guidance from the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
Tutoring and Educational Materials
Students learn and interact with educational material in different ways. Tornado Tutoring welcomes requests for reasonable accessibility accommodations related to tutoring sessions or instructional materials.
Depending on a student's needs and the nature of the material, accommodations may include alternative document formats, enlarged or reformatted materials, additional verbal descriptions of visual material, adjustments to the way information is presented, or other reasonable modifications.
Because mathematics and science frequently rely on equations, diagrams, graphs, tables, and other visual or specialized content, some materials may present particular accessibility challenges. We will make reasonable efforts to provide an accessible alternative when such a barrier is identified
Third-Party Services
Some features used in connection with Tornado Tutoring may be provided by third-party platforms or services. Although we seek to use accessible tools where practical, Tornado Tutoring cannot control the accessibility of third-party websites, software, or services.
Requests, issues, and suggestions
If you encounter an accessibility barrier on the Tornado Tutoring website or in materials Tornado Tutoring provides, please let us know.
When reporting an accessibility problem, please identify the page, document, or feature involved and describe the difficulty you encountered. We will make reasonable efforts to address the issue or provide the information in another accessible format.
You may submit accessibility questions, accommodation requests, and reports of accessibility barriers through the contact information provided on the Tornado Tutoring website.
